The LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA (LVK) Collaborations have updated their observing run plans for the coming year 2027.
"We are currently planning a six-month observing run, designated as IR1 (Intermediate Run 1), targeting a mid-January 2027 start. LIGO and Virgo will participate, potentially starting with two of the three detectors. KAGRA will join later in the run as available."
